Roberto Patón
I am an easy going and social guy who enjoys having a nice chat with friends and meeting people. When I finished high school I spent a few months studying in England where I taught Spanish to some English friends.This experience made me realise how much I love living abroad, learning languages and teaching my mother tongue.
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Arabic Studies and two postgraduate degrees in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language. All of this has allowed me to live in different countries like Morocco, Jordan, Netherlands or Russia, where I taught my own language and learnt others. When I’m not teaching or chatting with friends, I like practising sports, reading and watching movies. Sometimes I dare to write (and to think). And I find it relaxing to go on long walks with my dog.

Roberto’s Spanish lessons are engaging, progressive and fun! I’ve learned a lot in a short period of time and Roberto provides just the right level of challenge to keep me improving without the pace of progression becoming overwhelming! I also really like how the lessons have been structured to include and prioritise the language skills that are going to be of most use to me. Roberto is also very patient, explains things clearly and takes time to make sure I understand everything fully. I’ve been thoroughly enjoying the lessons — thanks Roberto and looking forward to learning more!
Roberto is a wonderful teacher who is very patient and makes lessons fun and exciting. He uses a great range of different tools during the lessons to keep it interesting and insures lots of application to useful everyday conversation. He is extremely understanding and always finds a way to explain in the best way for you. Would highly recommend Roberto. Best language teacher I ever had!
Great teacher with a genuine interest and passion for teaching language
Edina Spanish lessons are great – Roberto and Pedro are native speakers and are both qualified teachers of Spanish. They provide the learning materials (and the occasional tea!) all for a great price.
I have made excellent progress since starting lessons with Roberto. He is patient and encouraging, he teaches clearly and adapts the lessons to my needs. ¡Cinco estrellas!
Myself and my partner have been taking Spanish lessons with Roberto, for two years coming up.
His hard work and dedication to us has giving us the ability to be able to speak, listen and read in Spanish which has helped us immensely on our trips to Spain.
We are sometimes not the best students due to our work and life commitments but Roberto always gets us motivated and back on track.
His passion and energy for languages and teaching is contagious and we always look forward to our next lesson and conversing with Roberto in Spanish.

I reached out to Roberto for Spanish lessons as it has been a dream of mine for a long time to be able to hold a conversation in a language other than my own.
I was really apprehensive because I hadn’t studied Spanish for 6 years, since I took my GCSE at school (I am now a final year university student). Furthermore, I have bad previous experiences with language classes, which have made me feel self conscious about speaking with an accent. But I had absolutely nothing to worry about!
Roberto is incredibly reliable and very fair and flexible with lessons. He regularly asks for feedback and adjusts the difficulty accordingly, so that I am challenged but not struggling – which suits me perfectly.
I would 100% recommend Roberto for Spanish lessons. I study Spanish at uni and we cover everything from complex grammar to some pretty intense literature. With Roberto I have actually read the books that I was supposed to, understood them and I like to think I can talk in depth about them. Roberto is patient, understanding and generally just a great guy! Of all the tutors I’ve had, he’s certainly been the best and I really enjoy my lessons with him!
Couldn’t ask for a more inviting and approachable tutor! Feels like a friend as opposed to teacher. Roberto works at the students pace but isn’t scared to push you in order to make you achieve your best. With regular contact and fun training exercises (a mix of games, discussion and video) I feel that he has supported me fully in a move from passive to active learning. Something I may have needed a bit of nudge with! Would recommend highly to all levels of Spanish learner.
My lessons with Roberto have been amazing! I am studying Spanish at uni and he helps me with reading through and understanding the literature both in terms of understanding the language but, also discussing it to broaden my views on the subject. The lessons are always fun, no pressure and sometimes it’s great to just be able to chat for an hour or so in Spanish! Would 110% recommend!
